Tim became Managing Partner for Russia and the CIS in January 2010. He has been working in Russia since 2003, initially setting up and running the Valuation and Development Consultancy teams from 2003. In 2008 Tim became responsible for Central and Eastern Europe in the Cross Border Capital Markets Team, based between London and Moscow. He acted Chief Operating Officer in Moscow in 2009. Tim sits on the Russian Board.

 

Recent Successes

• From 2006 to 2008 under Tim’s management team: valued over 2,400 properties with a total value of in excess of US$90 billion;

• $3 billion plus IPO portfolio Valuation for Sistema Hals and Mirland;

• Tim was instrumental in a $250 million capital raising for a St Petersburg developer; valuations for CLN and bond placements of over $1 billion in last 4 years; debt financing of US$700 million for Moscow shopping centre;

• He worked with CW/SR Development Consultancy providing strategic advice on redevelopment of Domodedovo International Airport and Advising Gazpromneft in connection with the proposed Landmark Office skyscraper in St. Petersburg.

Tim has degree in Land’s Economics at Fitzwilliam College of Cambridge University. In 2001-2002 he took MBA at Business School Lausanne specializing in Corporate Finance. Aron Libinson

Anatoliy Kuznetsov, the president of Korston Group. He graduated from Gorkovskiy state university majoring in radiophysics. Later on being involved in hospitality business Anatoliy completed professional retraining in Moscow State University for “Company management” course.

From 1996 to 2000, Mr. Ervin worked in Manhattan as an associate in the corporate banking division with the New York law firm Simpson Thacher & Bartlett. Immediately out of law school, Mr. Ervin worked as an international associate for law firms in Buenos Aires, Argentina (1995 – 1996).

 

Mr. Ervin received a JD (cum laude) from Harvard Law School in 1995 and a dual degree (BA) in Economics and Political Science (magna cum laude) from Duke University in 1992.

Prince George Yourievsky is the great-grandson by second marriage of Emperor Alexander II and Princess Ekaterina Mikhailovna Dolgoroukaya and a long line of illustrious forefathers, including Yuri Dolgorouky, the founder of Moscow. Prince George grew up in Switzerland and studied law and Business Administration.

As well running his own company (private placements) and being on the board of several others, Prince George is a sportsman (skiing, tennis) and was the former team coach of the Swiss Olympic team at the Paralympics 1984. Marina has been involved in and taking the lead in nearly every hotel-related project run by the Russian operation of the company since the mid-1990s including hotel operator negotiations for the Four Seasons Moskva, W St. Petersburg, and Sofitel Moscow City, valuation of individual hotels and hotel portfolios and feasibility studies across Russia and CIS. Also, Marina led asset management assignments in Moscow and Almaty.

Since the beginning of 2008, Marina’s investment team has exclusively advised on three landmark deals including the first Russian hotel investment sale (Park Inn Yekaterinburg), acquisition of a European hotel operator (AHC) by a Russian private equity group (CEHI), and successful negotiation of a management contract between the Russian development group, its financial partners and the European hotel operator to develop a chain of hotels across the Russian Federation. In 2010 г. the Moscow team led by Marina closed the first Russian hotel transaction since the beginning of the global economic crisis – sold the Sheremetyevo Hotel in Moscow to a foreign investor.

Marina joined the firm in 1996 and prior to the transition to Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels was an Associate Director at the Strategic Consulting Department.

London & Regional has been actively investing in the Russian hotel market and recently opened a 188-room DoubleTree by Hilton hotel in Novosibirsk. Prior to joining London & Regional, David was a Managing Director at Basic Element, where he was responsible for investing in real estate since 2001. Prior to Basic Element, Mr Geovanis was a Partner at Soros Private Equity Partners in Moscow and London. Mr Geovanis was engaged in real estate development in Moscow from 1991-1997. Prior to moving to Russia Mr Geovanis was a VP of M&A at Drexel Burnham Lambert in Beverly Hills. Mr Geovanis began his career as a financial analyst at Dillon Read & Co. in New York.

Recently, in addition to being the principal shareholder and Managing Director of Horwath HTL Hungary and Russia, Marius has included the brokerage of hotel real estate and related corporate finance activities through HTL Capital Advisors, a new global venture of principals of Horwath HTL.

Michael Cooper

Michael Cooper joined Bass, now IHG, in 1998 based in Budapest and responsible for the development of the Crowne Plaza brand in Russia & Central Europe. Subsequently  this was widened to include all IHG brands and over the next five years  he negotiated more than 30 hotel contracts  across the region.   

In 2003 Michael took over IHG’s distribution expansion in the UK adding a further 4,500 rooms to the estate.

He returned to Russia  as Vice President Development in 2005 and  remained there until early 2011 when he moved to South Africa to the newly created position of Vice President Development Sub-Sahara Africa reflecting an emphasis on development within the African continent.

In his 18 years based in the region, he has worked on the majority of international hotel projects in Moscow, St. Petersburg, the Russian regions and CIS countries as well as over a dozen luxury resort hotel and residential projects in Turkey. He has also worked on projects in Montenegro and the Baltic states.

Mr. Antel regularly advises hotel clients on legal and taxation matters, including providing initial structuring advice, negotiating and drafting various hotel management, franchise and lease agreements, representing owners, operators and buyers and sellers. He is a recognised industry authority and a frequent speaker at major hotel conferences focussing on the region.
