With over 15 years experience in various business development and investment analysis positions Mr Romanov’s involvement in commercial real-estate sector dates back to 2001, when he became Head of Research with a major Moscow-based real-estate investment company.

Since 2003 Mr Romanov has been actively involved in a wide range of commercial real estate projects. The first hotel  investment was made in late 2003. This acquisition gave start to creation of the AZIMUT Hotels Company – now one of the largest, Russian owned domestic hotel chains, with ca 5,000 rooms in the midmarket, full-service hotel segment. Azimut Hotels Company currently operates in the Russian Federation, Germany and Austria. Its flexible business model combines hotel ownership, leasing, management and franchising.

Mr Romanov has been serving on the Board of Directors of AZIMUT Hotels Company since its incorporation.
