Daniel Thorniley

Dr Thorniley was educated at Oxford University. He is The Economist Group Vienna's senior global and emerging markets consultant. He is the principal speaker at conferences around the world. He is managing director of several major client groups and senior consultant to some 250 client companies. In this capacity he visits company headquarters to provide in-house consultation on strategic management and business issues in global emerging markets, especially Eastern Europe, Russia, China and India, at regional manager and CEO/chairman level. Dr Thorniley also teaches occasional MBA courses. He has published three books, the latest with Profile books, entitled "Emerging Markets".
